absolutely. Eso uh, I'll start with how When I when I graduated from college about two years ago. So as an international student in the US, it was pretty difficult to, uh, to effectively land a work visa and a somebody who didn't have stem. And for those of you who are internationally probably aware, we only had basically one year of o p. T. And so I started off doing consulting in the US in Atlanta, and I did that for about a year before. I, uh, didn't end up getting the visa. And so I had to leave the country. And at the time, the firm that I was working for did not have a relocation programme around the globe. And so effectively, I had Teoh interview again. If I wanted to, for example, go work in another part of the world Australia, Hong kong. Um, those are the two countries that I was considering at the time. And so, um, I basically decided Teoh recruit again. And so, with only one year of work experience, um, it was pretty difficult. Um And so, um, I first came home to China, and then I started applying to a lot of jobs online, and it didn't really get a lot of responses. So I started reaching out on Lengthen, and one of the folks that I reached out to Arlington did reply. And he was in Hong Kong, and this was a position Drag applied for the three weeks ago saw no response. So I went from China to Hong Kong for a coffee chat. It was quite a long commute for for a coffee shop, but it worked out well that he referred my name on to the team next, next to his on. So the next day, I got an invitation for an interview and the rest unfolded there. So it was through a serious of, you know, outreach, e mails and messages, um, and coffee chats that I am in the position that I am in today. So a little description about the job I'm doing now I work for the chairman and CEO of uh uh the APEC Chevron CEO of BlackRock in Hong Kong. And the job description is quite broad. We, uh, do everything that that out chairman does. And so basically, that's across corporate strategy firm wide or, you know, initiative's strategic em in a corporate plan in corporate development and basically anything that our chairman's working off. And so it's quite a diverse, uh, you know, Job said. And every day with doing something different. For example, recently, China opened up its its regulations for foreign asset managers to come in. And so one of the things that we're doing now is looking for a joint venture opportunity to enter the market. And that's a lot of two diligence research. And now in negotiations without kind of parts to see how we conform this JB Other days there would be, for example, client engagements, for example. She wanted to talk about a particular topic with another asset manager or one of our clients. And she wanted to, you know, find out more about yes, G, which is now quite a popular topic, to talk about a month asset managers. And so then we would do research for her and basically develop an opinion for her and on behalf of Black Rock so that she can then go talk to the claim. So the job descriptions car abroad. But I'm really enjoying my time here in Hong Kong
on. In Anna's analysts level, there isn't I'm a whole lot of decisions to make the decisions to make our kind of, um, you know, at the task level. But I would say that in general team as a whole were work. We we think of ourselves kind of as the flight center off the seal office. So we direct a lot of tasks and and requests, depending on their their importance, their urgency to the CEO. And we kind of make that first layer first level of decision for her. For example, you know, a request would come in for her to do a speaking engagement were Look at if this is worth her time and kind of do that first letter level of filtering another example If, um, you know, a request comes in for a big you know, change management initiative within within. APEC would then make our first assessment and then go to the seal with a recommendation and ask for her for her feedback. So it, um, at my level, there isn't a lot of decision making, but it's more about, um, thinking, uh, thinking about the firm from from so acting, as you know, a fiduciary for all CEO. I'm kind of looking out for her and making the best decision that will, you know, or or helping her make the best decisions.
um, I would say Microsoft Office is definitely the one that we use the most. So it ranging from Excel to PowerPoint. A word. Sometimes you use video not very frequently. Sometimes we use Microsoft Project for Project Management. Um, we We also have a program here at BlackRock called Aladdin, and that is basically what, um, our investment tools and a platform is hosted on, um and that's That's one of the software programs that we actually also sell Teoh other asset managers so that they can use the risk management tools that we have here. But mostly mostly office, sometimes Aladdin when we need to look at data. But, um, yeah, I've been yet. So basically Excel Power Point, the two tools that were used most.
