sure? Yeah. I e wasn't actually studying like data science or Data Analytics, but in what I was doing my grand school. Um, I took a marketing from attics course. Uh, but we learned some analytics, you know, skills using ah, software tool called SAS. It's still very popular. And, um, I got really interested in data analytics. Um, I remember my professor. Hey. Had some industry connections, so we worked on some real life industry project with so bees, which is one of the essential growth restore train here in Canada s oh, got to real life projects. That was very interesting. So, yeah, so that that that's that. Let me thio, you know, to become interested in, uh, data analytics on then, uh, in, Um, I think, uh, in 2000 and eight, I joined, you know, ah, Telecom started my data science career, um, and started to lead a team, you know, afterwards at blackberry. So sort of my path and, uh, yeah, I'm also interested in teaching. Get some part time teaching before I started with cloud data. Yeah,
I guess. You know, before the cove in 19 were completely classroom based training video. And because of Kobe 19, we have to move online. So right now Ah, 100%. You know, classes delivered online. Um, seems like this is a general trend. S o. I think we're gonna stick with online delivery, but I think you know, after the pandemic, we're probably just going to have an online offline, Uh, some kind of mixed mode. Um, but I'm leaning more towards online. I think online learning or online live classes have proven to be effective because we've got a lot of good feedback from the students. But of course, they're always students who prefer offline training. That's, uh, why we're still going to continue for classroom based training. Yeah.We are data science and technology, Like a training academy. So we're also credited college here, Private career college in, uh, in Ontario, Canada. So, um, we started as a data science program. Eso our main focus used to be data science, analytics, machine learning, um, in big data, but we're launching a few new programs. So, um, so we're going to focus on data engineering program, Data Analytics, business intelligence, Um, data science, which is what we've been doing for years on. Then we're gonna have cloud computing and also a I as well. So we have, like, five programs eventually. Yeah.
That's a really good question, I think whatever we were trying to teach because we're not universities, right? We're more like a private career college on boot camps. Eso we definitely need to make sure that our curriculum eyes up to date eso We usually, you know, do a lot of surveys go talk to different industry. Um, like, hiring partners in industry talking thio people, you know, at conferences. Um, but we pay very close attention to what the job market needs. And, uh, yeah, so we constantly up constantly updating our, you know, our courses. One example I can give is that we used to teach, you know, of course, called big Data. Um, but the material covered, um, like, four years ago, um, is very much different from what we covered today because the technologies have advanced, you know so much. And, you know, companies are also moving to the cloud using different kinds of open source technologies and platforms s Oh, yeah. We're teaching like the curriculum has pretty much like completely changed compared to four years ago. Yeah,
